A STORY WORTH TELLING
Kola de Klerk

Where did my money go? That is the question I heard one of our donors state to another person at our donors-camp. The other person replied “my responsibility is to give, thereafter it is in God and the recipient’s hands and they will have to account to God". The first speaker shook his head in reluctant agreement, and I felt, it is important to give an account of what you have been entrusted with. Every person who gives money to a worthy cause wants to know that his contribution was used for the cause and that it made a difference.

I want to tell you of such a difference. I arrived home after a Church planting training session in Soweto and just as I was getting ready to unwind and relax, a sms came through; it read “John Journey training was life changing and an answer to my prayers. Thank you". Later that evening I received four similar sms messages and some emails that expressed gratitude and appreciation. I suddenly realized, “we are touching a real need that Pastors are experiencing". This is the work that is important. There are enough workers in Gods kingdom but they lack skills, techniques and resources, Africa does not have all it needs to rectify itself, but there is definitely a generation of Pastors and Church leaders who has taken the responsibility to do something. Judea Harvest provides skills, strategies and resources and therefore we make a difference. I went to bed feeling satisfied with a good days work.

To be a modern-day missionary is far different from what it used to be. A modern-day missionary does not go and preach, he rather goes and teaches locals to preach and equip them for that ministry. Modern-day mission societies need to realize that God has already recruited  Church planters and  Church workers, but it is our job to make sure that have what they need. We probably should stop asking God to send workers, as there are enough and start to pray for resources for those workers He has already spoken to.

Therefore we published our first edition of John Journey house Church planting strategy with the help of some friends in the garden route. The response to this training was nothing short of fantastic. John Journey is a simple but powerful strategy to help existing Churches to mobilize their members into a house Church planting force and discipleship army.

We pray that John Journey will usher in a house Church planting movement in South Africa that will change the way we do Church. The Judea Harvest staff has already trained more than 1 200 Church leaders in John Journey during 2011 and provided them with the accompanying resources for this strategy.

The 500 000 copies of the Gospel of John and the 100 000 copies of the Bible that was given to Church planters in this year’s training events was a miracle of note. These Bibles will be used to disciple new converts in the freshly planted house Churches that are now being planted all over Africa.

http://www.judeaharvest.info/images/Ronnie_Praying.jpgJohn Journey strategy has also been introduced to Malawi, Mozambique, Benin and Sierra Leone and we have already seen tremendous results.

Shodankeh Johnson was our keynote speaker in February at the 100 key leaders conference where paradigms about  Church and  Church planting was moved, to such an extent that some Pastors have changed their whole ministry from a Sheppard who is caring for the flock to that of a leader who develops and mobilizes an army of  Church planters.
The year of 2011 was full of excitement and challenges and we expect 2012 to be no different. Every time you are witness to a Pastor receiving a white and blue Church planting tent and you see the joy and the pride, you cannot be untouched. Every time I finish a training session and I receive the grateful and overwhelming feedback I think about all the people who help us to make Judea Harvest possible and then I am touched and I am grateful. Thank you for those who enable us to complete the Masters Great Command. In the word of the ancient book “He gives each one his specific task, similar to a body with many parts"

God bless

EVERY PASTORS DREAM
Willie Schoombee

When you are a Pastor or an Evangelist working in the field where the Harvest of God is your dream will always be to be the owner of your own tent, from where you can preach, evangelize and teach people to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and become true followers of Him.

I am in the privileged position to work for Judea Harvest and especially doing the administration and distribution of the tents that’s been sold, to go out and to be pitched wherever the tents are meant to be. It doesn’t matter where it will be, in Mpumalanga, on the Cape Flats or even in an African country like Benin, Burundi, DRC or even Botswana or Swaziland our neighboring countries. The purpose is the same and the tents are fulfilling that specific purpose.

The experiences I’ve had are so amazing. To see the expressions on the people’s faces when they come to collect their tents, full of anticipation and the thankfulness in their eyes. “This is now my tent from where I can preach the Gospel!” Loading their tent on their “bakkie” or trailer and receiving their Bibles or John Gospels, which accompanies each tent that’s been sold and leaving the premises of Judea Harvest.

This is a dream that at last had been fulfilled. Anxious to get on their way so that they can reach their destination to start working with their people and inspired by the power of the Holy Spirit to lead them to become true followers of Jesus. Many of these Pastors are saving for years to get themselves to the position to purchase a tent and that is why they are so thankful towards the Lord that helped them to fulfill their dreams.

Before they hit the road on their way to their destination, we all gather around the tent to pray the blessing of the Lord upon the tent, the people that will enter the tent, to be open to the visitation of the Holy Spirit to change their lives as well as the Pastors or Evangelists that’s going to preach from these tents, for them to preach the truth to their people and that God will favor them in the precious work they are doing towards the Kingdom of God, to bring in the Harvest.

When you’ve read this article and the Holy Spirit encourages you to become more involved in the lives of Pastors who cannot afford a tent, please feel free to do so by contacting Judea Harvest, the provider of equipment to reach the people of all nations.

God bless you!

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!
Danie Reynecke

Have you ever thought about the role money plays in our lives? Think of everyone who asks for it. The school wants money, the children want money, beggars ask for money and so is the church. You can't drive your car without money, no rugby or soccer on TV if you don't buy electricity. This truth has always been part of civilization. Solomon confirms this in Ecclesiastes 10:19 "... money is the answer for everything."

This is also true for reaching the lost with the Gospel. Judea Harvest would like to thank all our fiscal sponsors who have been faithfully supporting our ministry for more than a decade. With your support Judea Harvest have planted more than 2300 tent Churches and trained 5000 leaders during 2011 with the John Journey Manual which assists local members to be more effective with regards to the Great Command.

As "givers" you have also confirmed the words of Jesus in Acts 20:35 "...It is more blessed to give than to receive." You are truly a blessing to us and so many in the Judea Harvest Network. Thank you for strengthening our hands in reaching the lost with the Gospel. We pray not only for protection for your harvest but that the Lord will also increase your harvest.

God bless.

AN INTERNATIONAL VISION
Dr. Louis Blom

Since the inception of Judea Harvest we have always had a vision for the whole of Africa and in fact the whole world. Judea Harvest started in South and then Southern Africa with a saturation, evangelism and Church planting program. However in the past couple of years God have increasingly laid it upon my heart to develop Judea Harvest into an international ministry. We have been very successful at raising partners and donors in the United States of America to roll out Church planting programs across Africa as well as Indie and now China. Therefore I have handed over the CEO function of Judea Harvest to Pastor Kola de Klerk with great excitement and now released to take up my new position of President of Judea Harvest International, with the primary focus of developing our USA office as well as our Judea Hope projects.

Judea Hope is our new initiative where we help communities to develop community access services like food programs, HIV programs, child care centers and job creation. When Judea Harvest started 12 years ago the world had 6 billion people, today the world have 7 billion people of which 2 billion living in Islam, Buddist and Hindu countries have never heard the Gospel. The future drive that I will be focusing on is to mobilize Judea and expand our ministry initiatives into these unreached areas. As part of this drive we are also establishing a ministry base in the Eastern part of Europe and targeting a 100 million Islam believers in the ex Russian countries. Please pray with us as we open up new ministries in the USA, East Europe as well as China and Indie. Continue to journey with us as we reach the lost for Jesus Christ.

God bless you!

JOHN JOURNEY

During 2012 Judea Harvest embarked on a new journey, one that will enable us to move the masses of people sitting on Church benches in our Churches and tents to help us to advance the Kingdom.

John Journey is an easy, effective strategy for evangelism, discipleship and house Church planting by ordinary members of Churches. We have trained 1200 people this year and the initial results is phenomenal with individual Pastors reporting more than 10 house Churches planted per month. Some of these are in areas where non-Christian religions are dominant.

Thank you to all who journeyed with us on the John Journey.

Germany here we come!!
Louwrens Bezuidenhout

LouwrensSpreading our wings abroad to new Horizons.
It is such an honor to be part of what God is doing. My wife Sanet and I, Louwrens Bezuidenhout, are privileged to have recently become part of Judea Harvest. We have known Judea Harvest and the staff for more than ten years and were involved in some projects. We were led to become fulltime staff because of an awesome door and opportunity that was opened as an enlargement of the Judea Harvest ministry.
God has spoken to our team and we are expanding this ministry into the unreached people of the East Block nations.
Judea Harvest is opening a ministry base in Bautzen East Germany.
Oubautzenr Mission is to mobilize, equip and resource the local church to reach the unreached.
Our strategy is to use the John Journey program to win souls for God, train them and plant house churches.
My wife Sanet and I are very excited to relocate and launch this vision. We are planning to leave in February 2012 for a short term recognizance trip. We will come back, do our final planning to be in Bautzen in the second half of the year. You are so welcome to come and visit us and to be part of the house church planting.

Blessings, Louwrens & Sanet.
